Dallas Shirley is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who provides Children's Counselling and Family Counselling for non-profit organizations. She currently works as the Children's Services Manager at Abbotsford Hospice Society and a Grief Specialist for the Abbotsford School District. Episode 40 - Jeannette Thompson

Jeannette Thompson works as a spiritual grief counselor and a workshop facilitator. Her life forcefully changed direction after the death of her son. During the next few years her search for answers turned into furthering her education. She trained as a Grief Counsellor at Mohawk College, and trained as a volunteer Crisis worker for the Sexual Assault Centre and the Distress Centre. She then became certified as a Spiritual Psychotherapist and Spiritual Director through the Transformational Arts College of Spiritual and Holistic Training. Dr. Mari Dias is a full professor in Counseling at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI. She holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership and a Master’s degree in Counseling. Mari is a nationally certified counselor and holds certifications in both grief counseling (Institute of Health Care Professionals), and complicated grief (from Columbia University). In addition, Mari holds a fellowship in Thanatology (from Association for Death Education and Counseling), is a volunteer for hospice with both end of life and bereavement support, Director of GracePointe Grief Center and talk show host of “Journeys with GracePointe Grief (www.gracepointegrief.com).
